In consists of three main temples which are 47 meters height and small temples called perwara.Prambanan temple is Hindu remains from 19th century and located along Jalan Raya Yogya-Solo, 17Km, east of Yogyakarta.The templs is open every daya at 8 am until 5.30 pm.
RATU BOKO TEMPLE
Ratu Boko Palace is located 3 kilometer south of Prambanan Temple. It is consist of gates, a temple for burning, paseban, pavillion, and palace baths. It is also completed with camping ground, and post guard.
BANYUNIBO TEMPLE
Banyunibo Temple is Buddhist temple which is located near Ratu Boko Palace site. It is like a drop of dew which was built in 9th century. Candi Banyunibo can easily be visited after strolling through Ratu Boko Palace. Situated about 2 km southeast of Ratu Boko, Banyunibo is a solitary complex in the middle of farmland and is flanked by the Gunung Kidul hills to the south, offering exotic scenery and enjoyable views. Although quite small, this Buddhist temple has interesting features, such as a slightly curved roof functioning as the top of the stupa and giving it a unique charm. Built around the 9th century, every window is carved with likenesses of Sakti, the wife of Buddha: on the west windows is Pandarawasini Sakti from Amitabha, the north Tarini Sakti from Amogasiddhi, and on the south Mamaki Sakti from Ratnasambhawa. This temple is surrounded by Hindu fragments. Like all other sacred places, tiny Banyunibo (which means “dripping water”) is still used today as a place of meditation and contemplation. Local legend says that there was once a river flowing from Ratu Boko to Banyunibo which carried gold.
We can visit the temple everyday at 8 am to 5 pm.
KALASAN TEMPLE
The temple whose inscription is pranagari and Sanskrit alphabet was built in year 78 BC. It is located in Kali Bening, Tirtomartani, Kalasan, Sleman or 12 Km west of Prambanan Temple and open every day at 8 am until 5 pm.
BARONG TEMPLE
Barong Temple is a relic of the Hindu religion which is located in the hamlet Candisari, Bokoharjo, Prambanan. Open every day at 8 am until 6 pm. 7 above the sea and is located adjacent to Ratu Boko Temple.
SARI TEMPLE
In the past Sari Temple was a Buddhist Vihara where Buddhist monk learned. This temple was located near Kalasan Temple and open from 8 am to 5 pm.
SAMBISARI TEMPLE
The temple is unique, since it was found 6,5 meters below the surface. It was found by a farmer who was cultivating his rice field 1966. Sambisari temple was built in 10th century and located 12 km from Yogyakarta. The temple is open at 8 am until 5 pm.
IJO TEMPLE
Ijo Temple is located 7 Km southeast of Prambanan Temple. It is completed with village nuance and panorama
