What does halal city mean, mayor?

I would like to comment on the declaration of a halal city by the Bogor Major. The mayor must clarify exactly what he means by "halal city". Does it only mean that pork products are banned from the restaurants? Does it also impose a prohibition upon the residents of the city on consuming pork? The latter clearly impinges on the freedom of citizens to eat what they like!

One wonders whether by making Bogor "halal" the Mayor will also peeks into the bedrooms of Bogor residents. Is he going to ban illegal sexual relations as per Islamic shariah? Or is he going to stop the popular practice of contract marriages that occur in the Puncak area.

Will his declaration ensure that no government officials - from the top down - mark up contracts and government purchases or cheat and bribe. All of the above are illegal and definitely against the Shariah! Or perhaps like a wily politician the Mayor is simply mouthing off without even thinking of the consequences of his declaration or how he's going to police his new edict!
