Pekalongan my home town

Pekalongan is my home town. City of Pekalongan under authorize by Central Java Province, Indonesia.
Actually Pekalongan have 2 administer. Pekalongan City lead by major and Pekalongan Regent lead by Regency.

The populations are estimated 250 thousand people. The ethnically consist of Javanese 80%, Chinese descendant 10%, Arabic descendant 5%, Indian descendant 2% and the other ethnic 3%. The majority religion is Islam reached 85%, Christianity 10%, Buddhism 3%, Hindus 1%, and Confucian 1%.
In Pekalongan have many textile factory and batik home industries.
The Pekalongan economical depend by trade. The majority traders handle by Chinese descendant.

Since the year of 2007, Pekalongan city got the first Major from Arabic descendant. Otherwise in Pekalongan regent the first regency are from Chinese descendant, on the decade 1600’s

The distance of Pekalongan city from the capital of Indonesia (Jakarta) is approximately 350 km. If we use by train need 5 hours journey and by bus need 7 hours.

Pekalongan have some attractive tourist destination. One the most attractive is The Ecotourism in Petungkriyono. On there we can found a virgin forest, some waterfalls and a spring hot water. We can meet monkey on there. To go there we need 2 hours journey. During on journey we can get beautiful scenery and adventure.
